The Denver Nuggets have made the playoffs for five seasons in a row, and their is no reason to think that streak will end. Many have them coming into the season as the best team in the Western Conference and for good reason. While Nikola Jokic is a perennial MVP candidate, he's also got a solid No. 2 in Jamal Murray. Michael Malone's starting five is still probably the best and most cohesive unit in the league.
Malone wants to see more leadership from Jokic and is challenging Murray to play like he did during the postseason (26.1 points, 7.1 assists, 5.7 rebounds). If he does that, Murray will become a first-time All-Star and All-NBA performer.
While the team was healthy at the end of last season, Denver is excited to have Murray and Michael Porter Jr. healthy at the beginning of the season after easing their way back last year.

The Nuggets second unit will have a new look. After losing key contributors like Bruce Brown and Jeff Green, veterans Christian Braun and Reggie Jackson are poised for bigger roles. The Nuggets also like what they have seen from Justin Holiday and rookies like Julian Strawther, Jalen Pickett and Hunter Tyson.
